On Saturday, December 4, Catholics across the diocese were presented with the Bishop Gartland Recognition of Service. Anabel Guerra from Sacred Heart Church in Warner Robins (Macon Deanery) was one of the recipients. You can learn a bit more about her below.
Anabel has been an active member of the Sacred Heart Church parish for many years. Over the years, she has participated in several ministries, such as lector, Coordinator of the Hispanic Pastoral Care of the Sick, Hispanic Prayer Group, Coordinator of the Hispanic Youth Group, assistant at Baptism preparation classes, and Usher at Mass. Currently, Anabel is a Eucharist Minister, lector, member of the Hispanic Choir, and gives talks to the Hispanic Women’s Group and Prayer Group. She and her husband, Carlos, coordinate the Hispanic Sacramental Preparation and have been there for the Hispanic Ministry whenever they are needed. Anabel is always quick to say yes and volunteers without hesitating. She has dedicated countless hours to the Hispanic community, and is always happy and joyful.
Congratulations, Anabel!
