Michael Johnson began his 30+ year career in journalism and communications working for Manhattan Publishing Company as a production manager, U.&S. and World publications as V.P. of Sales and Marketing. Following that as editor/reporter/photographer/graphic artist and occasional pressman – basically chief cook and bottle washer at Hometown publications producing two monthly magazines with a combined distribution of 48,000 homes. His wife, a highly educated nurse, and brains of the family, was recruited to her dream job in Savannah. He tagged along and soon found himself as the assistant to the editor, then assistant editor and in 2010 he was appointed as editor. He said, “This is the best environment I have ever worked in and the mission – spreading the Faith and strengthening the community – is the most rewarding work I have ever done.”
